How and when did you first find out about your 'psychic abilities'?
My information first started coming through dreams and in that time between falling asleep and waking. I tried to analyze the information but soon came to realize things were happening just as my visions had shown me it would.
How was it growing up with these special gifts?
My older sister told me, in later years, that when I was very young I told her that I needed to find 'my people'. When she questioned me further I only said that they were the people that were like me. So during my early years I was just in search of what I called 'the truth'. I didn't know then that I was that different, I only knew that I needed to know things that others didn't seem to be aware of.
Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?
I think many or even most people can and do get psychic insight on a daily basis. However, they have been taught that kind of information is not reliable so they ignore their feelings to the point of not recognizing the information as it comes in.
What type of mentality do you think it takes to develop these talents?
In order to develop these skills you need to be non-judgmental and able to go with the feelings as they come in. This allows you to see what happens and verify whether they were correct or not? Journaling also is a great tool for getting more clarity about what one senses and feels.
Are you able to turn your psychic abilities 'on' or 'off' when you want to? Do you have any rituals to turn them 'on'?
No, I am not able to turn off my psychic messages, and I wouldn't want to. I don't use any rituals; the abilities guide me and take care of me and I want that with me at all times.
How did you get into doing psychic readings?
Professionally I have been reading for about 15 years, both over the phone and face-to- face, working in a New Age bookshop.
What happens during a psychic reading?
I first feel, or pick up on the client's energy. Then I just ask my guides to show me answers to the client's questions.
What is your primary tool for divination?
I use a deck of cards that is actually not a traditional tarot deck. It was given to me by a great aunt and just has pictures of acorns on the cards. I think it came from Switzerland, her home country. I relax and look at the cards and see metaphorical pictures. My guides normally 'talk' to me in these kinds of pictures; at times I do see or hear words. My specialty, my passion, is to assist clients that are on a spiritual quest to live a more beautiful and fulfilling life.
Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?
Normally I do not communicate with spirits from the other side. I have at times - but this is not my forte.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your abilities or a good experience?
One of the greatest experiences of my life was studying with the Ishaya monks. Through these studies I was able to put all the pieces together of what had been happening in my life. Because of my new 'awaking' my guides told me that I had now been prepared to serve others. That was when I started giving readings professionally.
